Rolling Roof Hooklift Containers The company manufactures a rolling roof container which is an open hooklift container fitted with a double sliding roof. The roof can be fitted to any size of container and they can be built either in the conventional style with channel ribs or alternatively with smooth sides (see below).
The main advantage of the rolling roof container is that it can be filled from above as with an open container yet the contents remain dry and secure. Because of this the rolling roof container has proved to be highly successful in several industries especially those dealing in animal feed and those which involve the transportation of waste paper. The curved shape is aesthetically pleasing and also means that the number of joints in the roof plates can be reduced to a minimum. There are six handles per container, two on the inner roof, four on the outer roof, these are not only used to operate the roof but are also used as a safe means of locking. The roof requires very little effort to open and close due to the steel rollers on which the roof moves. The rollers themselves are specifically designed to resist binding and can be removed for quick and easy maintenance. The roller wheel and shaft can be seen below.
