Open Hooklift Containers

For over 25 years Sellers have lead the way in setting standards of Quality and Specification for Hooklift Containers. The company produces a full range of Open Hooklift Containers.

Standard sizes range from 12 cu yd to 50 cu yd and are based on the design criteria laid down in the CHEM standards. Below is an example of a 26 cu yd open hooklift container.

The conventional design of the Hooklift Container is built using channel ribs which cradle the floor and sides of the container. The number of underfloor channels can be doubled, when a particularly heavy duty specification is required.

Container doors can be Single side hung, Single top hung or Double barn door type. All Sellers' locking mechanisms have been designed for strength and ease of operation, they are always fitted with secondary safety locking devices. Top hung and side hung doors can be sealed to retain any liquid content that may be present in the waste.

The company also manufactures a Smoothsided version of the Open Hooklift Container (seen below) the standard sizes of which range from 16 cu yd to 40 cu yd.

The curved shape of the sides gives strength to the container along with the double skin of the overlapped side plates on the larger models.

The main advantage of this type of container is a large area available for  advertising.

In addition to the standard range of hooklift containers, Sellers also manufacture many varieties of special purpose containers from plant flats (below left), used for the transportation of heavy equipment, to paperbanks (below right) now used widely in the recycling industry.

Special purpose containers can be designed and manufactured to meet customers own requirements and specifications.
