The rolling roof
Sellers rolling roof was developed to service the applications that require an open container for loading purposes, but an enclosed container for security or weather protection.
A 1.5mm curved roof is welded to a pair of half length RHS “skeletons” which securely span the container sides and ends, ensuring contents remain dry and payloads are unaffected by water ingress. These structures run on horizontal and vertical PU rollers fitted with precision bearings. Roof handles, which run down to operator height, allow the roof to be opened or closed from ground level ensuring operator safety. The handles incorporate a locking mechanism to keep the roof securely closed.
